The Recreation Department was established to promote physical activity, recreation, and community within the town. Events often take place at either the Cavendish Town Elementary School, Fletcher Field or Greven Field. The department oversees several youth recreational sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball.
Greven Field is also home to a half-mile multi-use path through the woods running alongside the Black River and around the baseball field.
In August, the department runs a summer camp for local kids; details regarding this camp typically are announced towards the end of the school year.
