Cavendish Energy Committee
Since 2010, the Energy Committee has supported improvements to the town’s energy profile through the following actions:
made significant energy improvements at the Town Office and Town Garage, by applying new insulation, window replacements, and heat pump installations
prompting the conversion of town street lights to LED’s
leading the installation of the municipal solar array
hosting an energy fair
sharing public workshops on composting, heat pumps, hydroponics, Button Up VT Weatherization strategies and a town wide Solarize campaign

The second application for an EV charging station has been approved! Watch for new construction on Depot Street during the spring of 2020. Thank you for your support. Refining the energy portion of the Town Plan continues as does participation in programs sponsored by Vital Communities.

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month from noon to 1 p .m. at the Cavendish Town Office. We are always looking to increase public participation so if you have a suggestion or would like to join the committee please contact a committee member.
